ポリシーのページにも「スパムや偽のプロフィールを防ぐために、名前は友だち、家族、同僚から普段呼ばれているものを使用してください」ということで、俺はこの文言から法的な正式名を入れる必要性をまるで感じないし、プロフィール停止されたけどペンネームやハンドルネームのまま復帰してる人も何人もいる。

だから普段ハンドルネームやペンネームやビジネスネームで活動している人は、その通りに入れればいいんじゃないの。それはオンライン上での正当で重要な権利であって放棄すべきじゃない。ザッカーバーグ一族の頭の悪い発言の数々には本当にウンザリしている。

俺は「主に」対外的な活動はハンドルネームを使うようにしてるわけだけど、それには主な理由が3個あって、雑多な理由が10個ぐらいはあるけど、説明すること自体をしたくない。自分が今まで人生で経験してきたことをリプレイしないと完全には理解が及ばないと思ってるし、説明に失敗した場合にはリスクが高まるからだ。別に実名で活動したらいいじゃん、というデリカシーの無い人に戸籍名をバラされたりバラされそうになったことが幾度と無くある。まあそういう人らはたいてい酔っ払っているのだけど。
