ところが、以前述べたように、新聞というのは「1社だけの閉じた世界」を前提に記事をつくる。「他社新聞に抜かれた」ニュースは「××新聞によると」とは書かない。「ことが分かった」という禁止事項である「主語のない文」にしてでも書かない。西山英彦・原子力安全・保安院審議官の愛人話を「週刊新潮」が報道し、西山氏が更迭されても、週刊新潮のシの字も出さない。 　同様に「インターネットもないことになっている」（新聞の旧態依然とした世界認識ではネットも他媒体なので）という非現実的な前提で記事を書くので、YouTubeで東北放送の画像を見ても、それを根拠にはできない。同放送は東京には流れないローカル放送だから、東京本社がなぜ画像を見たのだ、というツッコミを恐れる。
